
Alex and his wife Donna have been a part of the Broadway family since 1995… He and his wife Donna have two sons and one grandchild. “My preferred methods of relaxation are reading, landscaping/gardening and doing most anything with Donna.”
Alex has served as a shepherd since 2004. His ministry emphasis at Broadway is the Building Ministry. A favorite text of Alex’s is Ephesians 4:1-16 which speaks of humility, gentleness, patience, love, unity, grace. “This is essential and I believe this is where Broadway is today; although certainly we can always improve on those essentials.”

Brooks has served as a shepherd since 2009. His areas of emphasis are Missions and the Children's Home of Lubbock.
Brooks and Mary Ann became part of the Broadway family in 1986. They have two children: Erin and Patrick.
Brooks enjoys Bible study groups, playing golf, and a renewed interest in backpacking. "Some of our biggest blessings are relationships within this church family. Learning, growing, and serving together help us endure hardship and celebrate what God is doing among us."

David Ratcliff and his wife Emily have been a part of Broadway since 1985. They have two children and two grandchildren. David is currently working as an elementary school counselor in the Lubbock ISD for the 23rd year. Emily is a realtor with WestMark Realtors.
David 's passion deals with children and worship. He attends the Foundation Builders class and sings with the worship teams.
David feels that excitement about the future of Broadway is building, and many opportunities and great times lie ahead. “God has blessed us beyond our wildest expectations and will continue to do so. Our God is faithful.”

Gary has served as a shepherd since 2009. He is currently involved with the Finance, Men's and Spanish ministries.
Gary grew up at Broadway and he and Judy, who met in Broadway's college ministry, have been attending here since their marriage in 1983. They have one son, Justin. Gary enjoys golfing, hunting, yard work and traveling.
Gary and Judy cherish the relationships that they are able to have with brothers and sisters of many different ages. He considers it an honor and privilege to be able serve and bless them.

Jerry Hoover is a lifelong resident of Lubbock and a graduate of Texas Tech University. He married Martha Samplesin 1970.
Jerry and his wife Martha joined the Broadway family in 1997, and Jerry has served as an elder since 2005. The couple has one son. Jerry is the Chairman of the Lubbock Bible Class, a radio Bible study ministry, serves on the Finance Ministry, and is on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Home of Lubbock.
"I love being part of a Church that looks outside its own walls to minister to its community and to the world. Martha and I are so blessed to be a part of it."

John and his wife Robbi have been a part of the Broadway family since 1979, and John has been a member at Broadway all of his life. John has served as a shepherd since December 2004. He enjoys traveling, being with family, golf and working in his yard. John and Robbi have two children.
John's ministry emphasis at Broadway is working with our youth program and our worship ministry. "God has blessed me with the family at Broadway for my entire life and has helped guide my life in every way. Being a shepherd now is a calling for me to now give back and serve this great body of believers."

Larry Mullican has served as an elder since 1997. His ministry emphasis at Broadway is with our Children’s Ministry.
Larry and his wife Betty have been a part of the Broadway family since 1970. They have 3 children and one grandchild.

Mark Thompson and his wife Celeste have been part of the Broadway family since December 1983. They have one daughter. Mark has served as a shepherd since December 2005.
Mark’s ministry emphasis at Broadway is Adult Education. Mark briefly attended seminary and never lost his interest in growing disciples in their knowledge and understanding of God.
“Downtown congregations, while facing many challenges associated with urban areas in general, also offer unique ministry opportunities for the church. Broadway is a congregation on the cutting edge of pursuing such opportunities, and I count it a privilege to participate in such work.”
Mark enjoys playing golf, following college sports, and reading.

Richard Evans grew up at Broadway, attending here since 1962. He has served as shepherd since December 2004. His Ministry emphasis involves the university ministry (Christ in Action) and the inner-city work (Carpenter's Church). Richard also has a deep passion for missions.
Richard met his wife, Pam, in the campus ministry while attending TTU. He started his business, Pets Plus, in 1983 and married Pam in 1984. Richard and Pam have two daughters. Richard enjoys animals, travel and movies.

Rob Core has served as a shepherd since 1992. His ministry emphasis at Broadway is with our University Ministry (Christ in Action). Of that ministry, Rob says, "The staff and college students are an absolute joy to work with."
Rob and his wife, Sandy, have been a part of the Broadway family since 1971. Rob has just retired after 35 years in the insurance business. They have two daughters and five grandchildren. Rob enjoys reading and has a passion for baseball.

Rod and Sandra have been a part of the Broadway family since 1971. Rod has served as an elder since 1989. He currently is involved with the adult education ministry and with MET. He especially enjoys teaching in the adult classes. Rod and Sandra have two children and four grandchildren. Together they enjoy attending the athletic events in which their family is involved. Rod enjoys reading, jogging, and travel.
"Our lives have been blessed beyond measure by the relationships that have been formed within the Broadway family throughout the years. As an elder it has been incredible to see how God has accomplished his will though this family in ways that could only be his doing."

Seymour Evans has been a part of Broadway since 1956. His wife, Kay, came to Broadway in 1946 and was the first person baptized in Broadway’s current building. Seymour and Kay met and fell in love at the Bible Chair, Broadway’s Campus Ministry, and were married in 1957. They have three children and six grandchildren, all of whom live in Lubbock. Seymour is a retired Electrical Engineer.
He has served as a shepherd at Broadway since 1992. In addition to his work with the Spanish congregation, Seymour’s other ministry emphases have included missions, campus, prison, and adult education.

Tim Oliver and his wife Missy have been a part of the Broadway family since 1982. Tim has served as a shepherd since 2005. His ministry emphasis at Broadway is the Youth ministry, Carpenters Kitchen ministry, and the Men’s ministry. Tim has a strong desire for people to develop a deep and personal relationship with God. He sees one of his most important tasks as a shepherd is to help people, both saved and lost, realize that God’s greatest desire is to have a relationship with them. One of his favorite verses is “Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)
Tim enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He also enjoys playing an occasional round of golf with his boys. Tim and Missy have three children: Ben, Casey, and Hank.

Tommy has been a shepherd since 2009. Tommy serves Broadway by working with Carpenters Kitchen, Carpenters Church, Broadway Prison Ministry and the Children's Ministry.
"When Becky and I moved to Lubbock, we found a church home at Broadway. We found Broadway to be a congregation of loving people. My involvement in the ministries with which I am associated, has allowed me to see that love continue to blossom and grow. "
Tommy and his wife, Becky, have 3 sons and a daughter, who have blessed them with 10 grandchildren. They enjoy gardening, going to see their grandchildren and watching sporting events. Tommy is one of those guys you love to hate, he officiates high school football.
