    Bill Starcher

    Minister


    Bill, his wife Debbie, and his two children came to Broadway in 1994 as the Education Minister. Bill currently ministers to the senior adults and writes curriculum for Broadway's adult Bible classes. Bill holds a Master of Science degree in Biblical and Related Studies from Abilene Christian University and a Master of Education in counseling from the University of North Texas.

     

    Bill has a passion for people to be able to know scripture in a way that transforms lives, and for Broadway to be a community that brings glory to God through their love for one another and their service to the world.  Bill loves sports and history, and enjoys any chance he and his wife can vacation in the mountains.

  • Chad Wheeler

    Chad Wheeler

    Carpenter's Church Minister


    Chad has served as a minister at Carpenter’s church since 2007. He graduated from Lubbock Christian University in 2008 with a BA in Biblical Text. Before joining the Carpenter’s ministry team he and his wife, Jaime, were members of Carpenter’s church since 2005.

     

    Chad and Jaime have a passion for missions and have served in several countries abroad including New Zealand, El Salvador, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Sudan. The same passion that carried them to the war-torn country of Sudan and the unchurched people of New Zealand has brought them to the marginalized and neglected of Lubbock. Their deepest desire is to share in the good news with all people!

     

    Chad and Jaime love life and love to share it with others! Some of their interests include anything with food, camping, cycling, the Art Walk, and Mexican Train!

  • David Pounds

    David Pounds

    University Minister


    Since the spring of 2000, David has been growing and serving Christ in Action student ministries; first as a student, then as an intern, and since January 2007 as the university minister. A developing passion to love and serve God has in turn given him a desire to connect with and lead college students. David's undergraduate work was completed at Lubbock Christian University in agriculture business, and he is currently in the process of completing graduate studies in ministry.

     

    His primary ministry is to love, listen to, and learn from the students of TTU, LCU, and SPC and to help those students discover the life God has offered and the disciples they are becoming.  Among his favorite enjoyments in life are his wife Saundra, the stillness and smell of the morning, and a fine cup of coffee!

  • Howard Babb

    Howard Babb

    Facilities Minister


    Howard and his wife, Naomi, moved to Lubbock in July of 2008 to be near family.  Howard began serving Broadway as a volunteer for Rodney Thomas in maintenance areas.  On April 1, 2011, Howard began working part-time as the Facilities Minister at Broadway.

     

    Howard is a retired School Psychologist from Kansas.  He is also a member of Broadway's Safety Team.  He and his wife have been blessed with ten grandchildren.  Howard enjoys golfing and time spent with his family and grandchildren.

  • Josh Haynes

    Josh Haynes

    Youth Minister


    Josh graduated from Lubbock Christian University in 2004 with a degree in Youth Ministry.  He came to Broadway in November of 2006.  Josh grew up as a missionary's kid, living for several years in Ecuador.

     

    He is married to Heather, and is an avid New York Yankees fan.  He coaches basketball part time at Lubbock Christian School.

     

    Josh works very hard with the youth at Broadway, encouraging them, teaching them, and leading them to a closer relationship with Christ.

  • Marcia Crabtree

    Marcia Crabtree

    Associate University Minister


    Marcia Crabtree has been a member of Broadway since 2003.  She graduated from Texas Tech University with a double major in Psychology and English in 2006.  Throughout her time in college she was active in Christ in Action, the college ministry and now serves there as the Ministry Assistant.

     

    Marcia enjoys good conversations with the students in Christ in Action and seeing how they are finding the passions and gifts God gave them.  She enjoys hiking, reading, photography, and live music.

     

  • Nan Camp

    Nan Camp

    Children's Minister


    Nan Camp joined the Broadway staff part-time in December 2007 as Co-Director of Children’s Ministry with Amy Cary.

     

    Nan and her husband Greg met at Broadway’s college ministry, CA, while attending Texas Tech. They have been members at Broadway, along with their daughters Avery and Erin, since early 2006.

     

    Nan has a great zeal for sharing her love for God with children, and encouraging parents to train their children in the ways of the Lord. “Working with children, teaching them about God and His love for us, is incredibly exciting. It is a blessing to be able to help families raise their children to have life-long relationships with God through honoring Him, and loving and serving others.”

  • Rob Core

    Rob Core

    Pastoral Care, Broadway Church of Christ


    Rob Core has served as a shepherd since 1992.  His ministry emphasis at Broadway is with our University Ministry (Christ in Action).  Of that ministry, Rob says, "The staff and college students are an absolute joy to work with."

     

    Rob and his wife, Sandy, have been a part of the Broadway family since 1971.  Rob has just retired after 35 years in the insurance business.  They have two daughters and five grandchildren.  Rob enjoys reading and has a passion for baseball.

  • Rodney Thomas

    Rodney Thomas

    Associate Minister


    Rodney went to Roosevelt High School and graduated in 1977. He worked in the Slaton area as a farm and ranch hand, and then as a fertilizer plant operator before graduating from Lubbock Christian University in December of 1988 with a degree in Biblical Languages.  He served as an intern under Tim Baugh at Broadway during his time at LCU.

     

    In August of 1989 he went to Washington, England as a missionary to plant a new church. During his time he completed an MATR and PhD. in New Testament from the University of Durham.  He has published a book in the Library of the New Testament Series entitled, Magical Motifs in the Book of Revelation.

  • Tracey Horne

    Tracey Horne

    Finance Minister


    Tracey Horne is the "senior" staff member at Broadway, having worked here since 1987.  She currently serves as the Business Administrator/Bookkeeper.

     

    Tracey grew up in Snyder, Texas and is a graduate of Lubbock Christian (College) University.  She, her husband, Jon, and their two sons, Nate and Luke, live in Abernathy where Jon teaches and coaches.  When she is not at some type of ballgame, Tracey enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and working in her yard.
